Hi everyone Very Happy

Thought I'd better start a thread for our skate experiments Laughing

For years here in Melbourne we have nutured a friendly community of underground musicians and street / poster / template artists, so it seemed logical (given that a number of the members are skaters), to have a go at producing short run decks for customers interested in skating (duh) and urban art / design.

We are currently waiting on a short run order of around 20 decks, ETA July 2011.

So in the mean time I am toying with Eco-ink ultra violet printed Griptape. This is the first experiment, so I have just ordered a blank deck to stick it to and try out, mainly to test for endurance of the ink. The print is spec'd to be sun and weatherproof / waterproof.... the question is... is it "trick fail slide down coping upside-down proof" Laughing

Will let you know how it goes.

Also testing CNC / laser cutting of Griptape into funky pics Razz

Cheers man Very Happy Hopefully go into production fairly soon.

Choppascott was asking about laser cut grip, which was good timing because we've just one our first computer cut experiment, not laser... but still funky, particularly if you want to keep some of your deck graphic.

The test case was my next daily rider, Santa Cruz Dressen Apocalyspe 8.3 (dont know why they advertise as 8.3... its the same size as my 8.6) Laughing

Running Thunder 149 titaniums (my all time fave), and trying some 55mm pig 85A wheels.

Custom cut around motif:
