(SHR) Decks

OK Here it is, I've been making my own Kicktail decks since 1976, infact I've never bought a deck in my life. Old school
decks made the old fashioned way, Epoxy and layers of 3 and 5 ply. I have been making a few decks to sell to people
with special tastes, so if anyone is interested in something hand made just for them, just let me know what you are
after and I will see what I can do. Cruisers, Double Kicks, Long Boards, gripped and hand shaped 12-13mm thick and
upto 10 1/2 inches wide, From $80. Message here or PM me for more information.

Stay tuned, More Pictures to come

What length longboards will you be making, will you be making 11ply for the serious downhill riders?

I am currently working on an 11 ply board which is going to be 40 inches
in length and around 14-15 mm thick. Its a traditional long board, could
be used for downhill, slalom or ditching with a small tail kick.
I will make to order so length and design is only limited by your specifics.

The issue you might have with using it for DH is the back truck angle will in fact increase turn in the back end, rather then decrease to stiffen the back as would be the normal practise. looks like it would be good for carving but likely too loose in the back for DH.

Thanks Robbo, I had intended to wedge up the rear truck to get it past the 180 deg in the negative.
I am aware of the dynamics of the truck angles in relation to their stability and control.
I havent built a press that will cater for a double reversed kick as yet and wasnt sure if i really needed
to build one that way or if i could get away with the traditional kicks. Food for thought I guess,
more experimenting to do me thinks Cool

Hey Karl, the new quad kick look looks great. Nice dimensions & WB.
Is that a vertical laminate you've got showing on the bottom, or just a very straight grain structure in the ply ?
Nice work mate.
Is there a SHR Longjump model coming out in the future ? Idea Cool
I guess you'd have to design 2 models............1 takeoff / launch deck & 1 landing deck.
Get on the drawing board mate. We'll need 1 later this year. Very Happy
