Assuming we can get approval, this is an ok spot for a slalom race.
Queen Vic Statue

Start at the Queen Victoria statue, and run west to St Kilda Rd.
The paths are narrow near the top, but open up into something just wide enough for head to head. Bitumen is A grade. Minimal pedestrians.

The William Barak bridge also is do-able, it provides a run into a smooth bitumen path, with uphill roll-out.
The bridge too Flat

This part of the MCG would also be OK, very wide, and Ok run-out.
best after footy season.
MCG

This is an area that needs a good looking into.
Cwlth Games Village Parkville
The bus terminus to the north of the lake next to the freeway looks good, but not sure of gradient. The carpark for the base ball oval directly east of the big cheese stick also looks promising.

Also checked out path near Fed Square, and found way too many pedestrians, and hard things to hit.
Also there is an OK path on other just to the nortn of Alexander Ave, leading from St Kilda Rd to Riverside. hardly any pedestrians, but there is some root damage to the path in the middle of the fast bit.
