Hey not sure how many carvers are out there but if any of you are up Cairns way with your board there is a sweet 7 - 8 Km downhill run at a place called Copperlode Dam almost no uphill in the entire run and near zero traffic. Worth checking out if your up this way

Hey Robbo, just went up today for a carveboard and its 8.3Kms downhill, the road is up to the town water supply and its surrounded by solid rainforest, gets about 8 cars all day. It takes about 45 mins. Let us know if you ever make the trip I'll take you up with the lads who carve here (not many at the moment). I'd love to have a crack at Mt Fuji.

Skimboarder,

how smooth is that bitumen? Last time I went up there (quite a few years ago now) it was that cheese grater grade stuff. If it is nice and smooth it'd be nice for a downhill bombing run.

Cheers

A-Drain (just 3.5 hours drive away)

Yeah about 80% is the rough kind of bitumen so pretty much only a run for carveboards or something that can soak up the rougher road surface.
